Holocaust Reflection

One thing I learned about the Holocaust is that you never know what a person is thinking. This means be careful  how you treat someone you never know what they are feeling inside. Any stranger you see, or a person you have known your whole life could  both be capable of anything.

The Holocaust taught me many lessons, so it was hard to narrow it down but I did. Another lesson would be no one is perfect. Even though Adolf tried to make us “perfect”  he could not come close. He thought that  killing five to six thousand Jews would make us better, but it only made us worse. My Mom always says, “ The prettiest people turn ugly judging with their  attitude.’’ I constantly remind myself that fact every day.

Diary

Dear Diary,

Today I was racing with my best friend Ellen when this guard stopped us. He was really scary and had a rifle. Ellen was a few paces behind me,but could still here and see what was going on. Also my little sister snuck up beside me her name is Kirsti . Kirsti had no clue what was going on so she just was talking like always. I pretended not to be terrified but oh believe me I was. I think it might have shown through a little. Ellen was really pale I guess terrified too. The guards were always sitting at every corner. To Ellen and I they stand out a lot, Kirsti on the other hand sees them as street lamps. She reached up and slapped the soldier’s hand away, and  harshly stated  “Don’t.” I was so embarrassed also fearful for my little sister’s life. I couldn’t believe what she did. Then to make the matter worse I had just decided not to tell Mom what happened when you have a younger sibling things never go as planned. Kirsti told our mom everything I was so angry with her.Our mom just stood in shock. Finally she said, “ Don’t go down that way again. You are not supposed to stand out you have to blend with the crowd.”  I didn’t think much of it until I went to bed it was all I could think about. What could or would happen if I went down the road again? It is best just to follow Mother’s rules. I wonder if Ellen told her parents, and if not then my Mom will tell them over “coffee.” Now I must tell Ellen we can’t go that way, and that Kirsti told my Mom everything.

Differences or Similarities Maybe Even Both

There are many similarities between communicating in person and using technology.
1: Both ways of communicating a person can be creative. In person an example would be to share art with each other and online you can use a bunch of emojis. 2: You are talking to someone either way. In person you talk to your best friends every day and with technology you probably you text them a day. 3:Communicating in person and technology can be time consuming , like when family comes to visit for the holiday they like to talk a lot and with technology you just text someone real quick. 4: You are also meeting new people. This year I met a lot of new people and I talk to them everyday. 5: Bulling can be present in both ways. 6:There are many great dangers in communicating online and in person.
Communicating using technology and in person have many differences.
One difference is distance. You need to be face to face to communicate in person. With technology you can live in Texas and talk with someone in China without leaving your home. This year I have a pen pal and he’s from Israel. My second difference is trust person:You can see their identity. Technology- You never know who you are talking to. Emotions- person: Body language and see emotions. Technology- With technology you can only see emojis and can’t tell the tone of the other person. Hearing- person: You can better understand what the person is saying loud and clear. Technology- The line breaks up and it is unclear. That was just a few of the similarities and differences between talking in technology and in person.

Champs for the Gold

“Cling,”the ball flies back to hit the fence. Nickie tries again, “Boom” the softball goes flying through the air and over the far fence. She runs the bases then hits home plate. The team comes running at Nickie cheering. Then the buzzer ( alarm clock ) goes off.
Nickie jumps up gets ready and leaves to the softball fields. All of the kids gather up to do a chant, “ We will play with all our heart and w-i-n.’’ Everyone else including Sabrina ( Nicki’s best friend from Alaska ) went to warm up, but Nickie went to the dugout to watch. Soon Sabrina saw Nickie and told her to go warm up for the game.
First throw hit the ground to do a roll, second ball flew way over. Next was the third ball which was perfect all the way.“Great now time for batting practice,” Sabrina stated firmly. “ Bam, “ Sabrina whacked the ball so hard the seams broke. Nickie was up now “ Ding “ the ball flew like an inch away, Nickie got so upset that she stormed off. Now that’s when Nickie met Vicky , Vicky walked up Nickie to say “ Wow you are way worse then I thought you’d be. Nickie frowned but ignored the rude comment and got ready for the game after Sabrina stated, “ If I can do this so can you. “
It was the last inning when Nikki was up to bat again after striking out the first time. Vicky laughed uncontrollably on the ground of course. Sabrina whacked it lake a mile away to all else it seemed. Nickie walked up slow, took a few swings and was ready. Ball one “ Strike “ called the ump in a mellow tone, two the ball went as fast as a speedway driver through the air.
Sabrina walked over to Nickie. “ I told you that you could do it ! “ exclaimed Sabrina, Vicky walked over rolled her eyes then left. That didn’t even phase Nickie though.

5th Grade Reflections

How  I thought of 5th grade was you are so big and bad, but it is not like that. You truly are a big huge family , one makes mistake all makes mistakes. It was difficult doing math for me but it only gets harder. All I can say is study hard for every single subject mostly states and capitals. Choose your friends and stick with them, the golden rule is most important in 5th grade in the way I look at it.
